Selection of parents and segregating populations of carioca common bean resistant to Fusarium wilt

Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. phaseoli) is one of the most common diseases in bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) crop, and viable alternative for its control use resistant cultivars. However, number “carioca” cultivars, important commercial group Brazil, which has a good level resistance to this disease, still low. To obtain populations with higher degree resistance, seven parents different levels produce carioca grains were crossed complete diallel design.
